I've been drawing a bunch still with colored markers, working here
and there on a new album for music (an album based off of Kierkegaard's
book "Fear & Trembling"), looking for jobs, etc. Mostly
right now trying to meet people/network and try and figure out how
I can make money off of doing what I can't seem to stop doing -
making art. If I don't then I'm doomed.
So I'm trying to focus on getting out there, playing shows/performing,
putting art up, and all that. It's been slow. But creatively I've
been feeling the best I've ever felt. I'm also considering taking
the MFA route to learn how to make a living as an artist and meet
people. But I want to try my best without it first to see if this
is what I really want to do - before spending money on an MFA -
Maybe I'll just do some job that's not too bad and do my art whenever
I can.

I've been doing
a lot of colored marker, highlighter, pen ink, and colored pencil
drawing this last month so check them out on the visual
art page! It's been nice to take a lot less time working on
art and drawing things in an hour or so or making Neenu Naanu songs
in an hour or so - It's been really good to get more out of me instead
of having it all pile up in me because it takes so long to write
and record the song or layout a larger drawing or something - So
I'm very happy with them and there will be many more to come - musically
and visually.

So I moved back
to California - Irvine. I'm happy to skate with my nephews, be with
family, play basketball and soccer, surf and bodysurf with good
friends and so on. I'm hoping to play a lot of shows and improve
the performances - I had a fun one in Manhattan before I movd back
- see YouTube below - it was pretty sloppy, full of awesome mess-ups,
and all over the place but really fun.
I've mainly been drawing
a lot and recording Neenu Naanu songs - (for those who don't know
Neenu Naanu I will be developing a page for it soon - and releasing
a cd) just experimenting with lots of different things - I even
started "Neenucore" - it's like Neenu Naanu and Hardcore
- - I'm hoping to start a hardcore band soon as well different from
this. I finished research while in NY for a concept album based
on Kierkegaard's "Fear & Trembling." I'm real excited
about writing that.
It's wierd being back
- don't quit know how to articulate it - but it's like a cloud of
darkness that doesn't want me to do creative things - it's (can't
help but be dramatic) my devil - a force of chaos, practicality/false
security, and meaninglessness that plagues my efforts - where the
only strength is found in faith>hope - 2 things I have very little
of if any - I think it has a lot to do with being back to the familiar
- it reminds me of nothing ever changing - the same seasons, birds
singing, faces, garbage truck sounds, mail man schedules, smells
- - Where I just do art in my room, have no community to share with,
play sports, eat BBQ, watch the Lakers games, and rot away.
SOOooo - Anyway
- I'm thankful to know what I'm made to do and be doing that! I'm
just a complainasaurous......

that's all we got - the good camera broke!)

Hi - I just updated and changed the "About"
section and the "Visual
Art" section - and the "Sounds"
section - so check them out! Oh yeah! I got to see Jonathan Richman
the other night - it was amazing and kinda creepy in a way I can't
describe - My friend Deavon's mom used to go out with him so we
got to talk with him backstage after and he seemed nice - I gave
him Multi-Mouth Runner...and I touched his hand....just kidding
- I mean I did touch his hand but not in an obsessive wierd way
- just a hand shake - - job - I mean it is the hand that made songs
like "Abominable Snowman In The Supermarket" and "Pablo
Picasso" and "Roller Coaster By The Sea" etc....So....K
- bye.

Hi friends -
So as you can see I havent really been writing here much - But I'm
back so.....I just saw Dan Deacon at the Whitney Museum and It was
a unique experience - really enjoyed it a lot - such great crowd
energy and participation - everyone was havig a blast and dancing
their socks off - good release for the peeps.
I still haven't
been able to play any shows here in NY - it's so weird - out of
all the people I've met - no one really does/makes music and plays
- so I haven't really gotten any sort of newtork built up to help
me out - And then I haven't had time to just go around to venues
and try and talk to people - I'm just not the person for that I
think - I really need a publicist and booking agent but I have no
money....So if anyone can help - PLEASE HELP! Thanks....
So recently
I've been researching and brainstorming for a new concept album
based off of Kierkegaard's "Fear and Trembling." I'm really
excited about it - and looking forward to writing the lyrics actually
- and of course all the musical stuff - but it's nice to be a bit
more focused with a concept - so many ideas bouncing around - excititng.....
Ok that's all
for now - I'll do this more.....

Ah yes - the
cd has arrived. You can order on the "sounds"
page and I'll mail you a copy asap! My next step of operation is
to get it out there. So tell your friends and family - tell strangers
and things that like music. I'll be looking to start playing live
- so if anyone reading this that lives in NY and can help me get
some gigs please email me at theoddlamb@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Hi everyone - So I made
it to NY - I live in E. Williamsberg, Brooklyn. I really like it.
Got to see Daniel Johnston under the Brooklyn bridge the other night
at Pier 17's Spiegelworld - I think it's called. Ah! - it was...amazing.
Anyway - I got my cd's! They came last Friday. I'm waiting for bubble
mailers to get here so I can start mailing them out. Yay! They turned
out perfect! I'm very happy about that!
My plan as of
now is to start playing as many shows as I can and getting my art
out there - it's hard doing it all yourself - so I hope I can get
some breaks. But I'm hoping to start playing in some of the local
creative communities then move on to bigger venues if I can. Baby
steps...
I'm also looking
for a job as an artist's assistant somewhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn
so I can gain a better understanding of how the gallery/art world
runs. Craigslist is my only friend. The End.

Hi friends!
Jonathan here. Well, I'm getting ready for a move to NYC in September.
I'm pretty excited. I've never lived in a city before. I'm stoked
to have the opportunity to be in a different (more?) creative atmosphere
and be a bit more active in the art business...world.
After spending 4 months in Oregon focusing on art type things (mostly
music) I spent 7 more months (!) in Hawaii doing non art type stuff
- just working and saving for NYC...So I'm getting back on track
- getting ready to make my cd finally and spend time with family
and friends.
I'm also looking
into setting up dates for live performances in Orange County and
Los Angeles County. Check back here
for dates.
